Senior marketing thinking. Real work getting done.
Big Brain Strategy was built for established businesses that need more than another marketing deck. We bring acquisition, brand, conversion, and retention strategy together, and stay close enough to the work to make sure the plan actually gets executed.
Great plan. Who’s doing it?
That question is where too many marketing engagements fall apart.
We built Big Brain Strategy to close the gap between good advice and work that actually gets done.
A consultant can give you a roadmap. An agency can sell you a menu of tactics. A freelancer can complete an isolated task. But growing businesses need people who can understand the entire customer journey, identify the real constraint, decide what matters now, and help carry the work through execution.
That is why Big Brain is led by two strategists with different areas of expertise. Mike leads acquisition and brand strategy. Nada leads retention strategy and customer lifecycle. Together, we connect the work that businesses are usually forced to manage separately.
Different areas of expertise, built to work together.
Mike focuses on how the right customers find, understand, and choose the business. Nada focuses on what happens after that: how customers are nurtured, retained, and turned into long-term value. Both founders work directly on every engagement.
Mike Birt
Co-Founder and Lead Strategist
Mike helps businesses find the real growth problem.
Mike built his career solving growth problems for businesses that had hit a wall. His work is grounded in finding the real constraint, sharpening the brand, and turning strategy into execution.
As a partner and Chief Marketing Officer at Grunt Style, he helped transform a $6M veteran-owned apparel company into an $80M ecommerce brand. That growth came from understanding the customer, building systems, growing the owned audience, improving retention, and making the brand more than a product catalog.
More recently, Mike led the brand strategy behind Berry Law’s veteran voice engagement. Berry Law is a veteran-led national law firm that has appeared on the Inc. 5000 eight times. The work helped a veteran-founded firm sound like one again by replacing generic legal marketing with a content system built around the audience’s real world.
Nada Djuric
Co-Founder and Retention Strategist
Nada turns retention strategy into work that actually ships.
Nada brings the retention side of marketing growth into focus. She helps turn customer strategy into lifecycle campaigns, email, SMS, content, customer communication, and repeatable execution systems.
Her background spans ecommerce, lifecycle marketing, retention, campaign planning, customer communication, and execution management. She helps make sure the work does not stay in a planning document. It gets built, launched, improved, and kept moving.
For clients, that means retention strategy has a path into real deliverables. The customer journey becomes email and SMS. The campaign plan becomes work in market. The monthly priorities become visible progress, and the customer relationship continues long after the first sale.
Strategy only matters when it moves something real.
Our work is built to create measurable movement, and leave clients with stronger systems than they had before.
Berry Law
Berry Law is a veteran-founded, veteran-focused national law firm. The challenge was not legal expertise. The brand voice had drifted into the same generic legal marketing used across the category.
We built a two-track content system: story-driven veteran content that earned attention before a legal need existed, and useful legal education reformatted for social channels. The engagement included brand strategy, recurring content series, infographics, editing standards, interview guides, reporting, and handoff tools the team could continue using.
One customer journey. Different strategic lenses.
Acquisition and retention cannot be managed as separate ideas. The promise that brings a customer in has to match the experience that keeps them. We work together across the entire system so each stage supports the next.

Shared accountabilityBuilt for businesses that need movement, not more meetings.
The strongest engagements happen when the business is established, the opportunity is real, and leadership is ready to make better decisions, not just add more activity.
